old exams and review session
Exams from the past two years (1st exams only) have been loaded onto web CT. Don't panic if you notice that some material is a little different...I included Ch. 13 the past two years. In addition, we probably spent a little more time on mass spec than I did in 2005 and 2006. I've also reserved 2008 HEB for next Thursday from 5:30 until 7:00 PM to review material and answer questions for the exam that will be held the following Tuesday. I also plan to hold additional office hours the Monday and Tuesday before the exam-I'll let you know the times sometime next week.

Dr. Rainer, will you also include data tables that show the IR, MS, and NMR absorptions or do you recommend that we memorize the areas? Thank you.
I do not recommend that you memorize anything but instead that you focus on problem solving. I will provide you with IR and NMR tables...I'm not sure what you are referring to w.r.t. MS data tables
I have been working on question 5 from exam 2006. what I have is the molecular formula C9H11NO2. Is is something like 1,3 Methanol, carboxcillic amine on a benzene ring. Any help would be appreciated.
